Apple owes her strange name to her mother, Ingrid, who has always lived a free and chaotic existence. In 1967, in Torremolinos, a hippy beach in Spain, Apple’s mother had a passionate love affair with Karl. Now, 30 years later, Ingird returns to the same spot, only to find that it is now a package holiday place full of parties.
