The legendary director Arturo Ripstein returns to action with this bizarre true story that made headlines in Mexico in 2009: the murder of the dwarf brothers Alberto and Alejandro Jimenéz. Notorious for participating in fights around the country, the brothers were drugged by two women who wanted to rob them. However, the doses of medicine turned the robbery into murder. Under Ripstein’s obsessive direction, the sensationalist news coverage becomes a platform for study and an ironic examination of a marginalised Mexico City. Toronto Festival 2015.
