Based on the powerful testimony of the Yanomami shaman and leader Davi Kopenawa, the film follows the important Reahu ritual that mobilizes the Watorikɨ community in a collective effort to hold up the sky. The film delivers a poignant shamanic critique of those Davi refers to as the "people of merchandise" as well as illegal mining and the deadly mix of epidemics brought in by outsiders.
