Martina is an Argentinian widow who has been searching for her grandson, born in captivity in the military dictatorship, for more than 30 years. Her need for this reunion becomes even more acute when she is diagnosed with Alzheimers. Thus when she discovers that the boy may be in Brazil, Martina embarks on a routine in which past and present are mixed, transforming her search into a struggle against forgetting.

Began directing with two episodes of the series Alice (2008) for HBO. In 2010, her short Estação competed for the Palma de Ouro at Cannes. She was general director of the series Oscar Freire 279 (2011) and the first season of #MeChamaDeBruna (2016) for Fox. She co-directed, together with Luis Lomenha, the Netflix series Os Quatro da Candelária, presently in post-production. With Martina's Search she debuts in feature direction.
