While out for a walk in the countryside, Marina and Juvenal stop to take some pictures in front of an old woman's house. Annoyed, the old woman turns out to be a witch and casts a curse on the young couple in the form of a wound that feeds on raw flesh.

José Mojica Marins (1936–2020) was a Brazilian filmmaker, screenwriter, and TV host, known for his character Zé do Caixão (Coffin Joe) and for his “Coffin Joe Trilogy” — At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (1964), This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse (1967), and Embodiment of Evil (2008). A pioneer of Brazilian horror cinema, Mojica made films famous for their graphic violence and for delving into the occult.
