The middle class of Rio de Janeiro is depicted via the testimonies of students, accentuating its gestures, its tastes and, above all, its distance from the reality of the Brazilian people.
Arnaldo Jabor
Filmmaker, journalist and writer. Director's assistant to Carlos Diegues, Leon Hirszman and Paulo César Saraceni. He debuted with the short O Circo (1965), followed by the documentary Public Opinion and Pindorama (1970), his first fiction film. Among his best known films are All Nudity Shall Be Punished (1973), awarded at the Berlinale, I Love You (1981) and Love Me Forever or Never (1984), Best Actress award for Fernanda Torres Cannes 1986.
