​This drama with some film noir references tells the story of Luo Hongwu, a man returning to his Chinese hometown of Kaili, which he had fled several years before. He searches for the woman he once loved, and whom he has never been able to forget. Through a very sensorial narrative, he recalls the summer he spent with her twenty years ago. She said her name was Wan Quiwen. The film was screened at the Toronto Festival and Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard in 2018.​
